THE ADVENTURE HAS BEGUN

An incredible motorcycle raid through “the new world”. N.E.W.S., North, East, West, South, the four cardinal points that we will reach on our motorcycles in the “new world”, acronym for “NEWS”. This is also a novelty, or an adventurous project because of the combination of traveling on our motorcycles to Cartagena, Punta Del Este, Guayaquil and Ushuaia to share the message of joy and brotherhood from the boys of the Onlus: “I Ragazzi Del Girasole”.We will create a twinning and a virtual embrace with other centers for children with Down syndrome in these countries of the South American continent.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia; these are the countries we will cross and in which we will reach various centers for children affected by Down syndrome. In addition to putting them in contact with

“I Ragazzi Del Girasole ”, we will allow them to dream with the story of our incredible adventure by illustrating the videos and images of our motorcycle raid through the most fascinating and characteristic destinations of the New World.

We will start from the legendary Ushuaia, known as “the end of the world”, the southernmost city on the planet, our “South point”. We will begin the ascent we will travel our first kilometers in Tierra Del Fuego, we will cross the first Andean pass of our incredible journey, the Garibaldi Pass, which will lead us to the Strait of Magellan.

After crossing the strait aboard a ferry we will travel the mythical Ruta 40, strong winds will accompany us for the first days and the first thousands of kilometers in the Argentine pampas in this incredible motorcycle raid. After leaving behind us the southernmost part of Patagonia, we will take one of the most beautiful, fascinating and incredible dirt roads in the world, the Carretera Austral, which, crossing forests and glaciers, will lead us to the incredible lake region.

At this point, once the Carretera Austral is finished, we will cross the Andes again, we will leave behind lakes and very high volcanoes and we will completely cross Argentina in all its splendor and immensity. Our journey will continue in Uruguay, up to Punta Del Este, where we will reach the sculpture that depicts the fingers of the “hand of God” emerging from the sand of the beautiful beach.

After making our entry into Paraguay we will reach the wonderful Iguazu Falls, the largest waterfalls in the world in the magical triangle between Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina.

We will continue our journey to the North / East, enter Brazil and once we reach the Atlantic Ocean we will reach Natal, our “Eastern point”.

Leaving behind our second checkpoint we will cross Brazil in all its immensity and incredible variety of landscapes of a thousand colors, with our motorcycles and enter the Pantanal, the largest wetland on the planet. We will cover the most south of the Amazon rainforest. We will enter Bolivia and arrive in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, from there we will reach and cross one of the most incredible and fascinating places on the planet, the Uyuni salar, the largest salt flat in the world.

After having covered hundreds and hundreds of kilometers of dirt tracks, constantly at an altitude of over 4000 meters, we will cross the Andes at an altitude of almost 5000 meters.

We will enter Chile and reach the suggestive oasis of San Pedro De Atacama. Furrowing the infinite and incredible expanses of the Atacama desert, made famous in the world of motors thanks to the passage of the numerous editions of the Dakar Rally that took place in the South American continent. We will reach “the hand of God”, the famous sculpture in the shape of a hand that emerges in the middle of the driest desert in the world, thus joining the two “hands of God” with a distance of 12,000 km.

After skirting the ocean on the edge of the Atacama desert we will enter Peru, exploring ancient and now abandoned dirt paths in the Andes. We will reach Machu Picchu, the heart of the Inca civilization. We will continue descending the Andes until we reach Nazca. Our motorcycle raid will advance in the picturesque Peru, entering the beautiful dunes of the Sechura desert until we reach the incredible oasis of Ica and then continue our journey towards Lima.

Leaving Peru behind us, we will continue our journey North through wonderful Ecuador. We will arrive in the spectacular Guayaquil, our “West point”. Having thus reached our third checkpoint. We will continue our raid northwards, a few thousand kilometers of adventure will separate us from the final destination of our incredible journey.

We will enter incredible Colombia, where we will cross mountains and forests until we reach the coast and then Cartagena, our “North point”. The final destination of our incredible motorcycle adventure of over 25,000 kilometers spread over two months of travel through the most various and challenging routes on the South American continent.
